What is a certified translation
Certified translation (translation with the round seal of the sworn interpreter, an official translation, or a sworn translation) is prepared by a translator appointed by the competent regional court pursuant to the Act No. 254/2019 Coll., on Experts, Expert Offices and Expert Institutes, and to the Act No. 354/2019 Coll., on Court Translators and Court Interpreters. It is an official, registered translation that is inseparably tied up with the original document bearing the round seal of the sworn translator, whose signature confirms that the translation fully corresponds with the text of the original document.
Please note
Given that the translated document is tied up with the certified translation, it is recommended that prior to submitting it for processing you get a notarized copy of the document (at notaries, CzechPoint) which has the same force as the original document and submit this copy for translation while keeping the original document for future use.
Confidentiality
The sworn translators and interpreters are legally bound to maintain confidentiality in respect of all matters and information that may come to their knowledge in the course of their assignment.
